What's new in Year Glance
This month we've shipped three features that have been high on the request list: custom branding, the ability to hide out of office days from your view and a new affiliate programme. We've also made a couple of small but meaningful improvements to navigation and readability and resolved a few issues from last month.
New features
New
Custom branding
You can now add your own logo to Year Glance, replacing the default logo in the main view and on any shared or embedded calendar links.
This is available on all Organisation and Enterprise plans.
How to set it up
- Go to Account Settings > Custom Branding
- Upload your logo
- Click Save Changes
New
Hide out of office days
If certain days of the week aren't part of your working week, you can now hide them entirely from your year view to reduce visual noise and make better use of your screen space.
How to set it up
- First, select your out of office days under Customise > Settings > Out Of Office Days
- Then enable Customise > Display > Hide Out Of Office Days
New
Affiliate programme
We've launched an affiliate programme for anyone who wants to earn a commission by referring new customers to Year Glance. You'll receive 20% for every business plan sale that comes through your link.
Sign up and find your affiliate link via the profile menu, or head directly to affiliates.yearglance.com.
Improvements
Improvement
Year navigation limit
Year navigation is now limited to five years either side of the current year. This keeps the planner focused and prevents accidental jumps to years too far out to be useful.
Improvement
Improved readability on 4K screens
On 4K and higher resolution screens, Year Glance now automatically increases font sizes for better readability. If you've been squinting at your ultra-wide setup, this one's for you.
Resolved issues
Fixed
- Removed English UK language option, which was displaying incorrect characters
- Registration email preference now saves correctly on sign-up
Coming up
Two much-requested features are on the way.
The first is a weekly year view, which stacks weeks vertically so each weekday lines up in its own column, ideal if your planning is week-based and you want to scan events day by day across the whole year.
The second is multiple profiles (saved views), which will let paid users save and switch between named calendar configurations. This is helpful for getting different combinations of calendars and views, especially helpful for different sets of audiences or tasks. Think Work, Family, Board, Exec... Each with its own set of selected calendars, display options and a unique shareable link all within a single account.
