A tool born from a simple idea
Year Glance exists because planning a year should feel clear, not chaotic.
The story
In 2016, Evan was sitting in a cafe with his wife, trying to plan their annual family holidays. Empty handed, they asked the waitress for a serviette and pen and started mapping out the year by hand. It worked. The clarity of seeing twelve months at once, all on one surface, made the decisions obvious.
What Evan noticed was that this clarity did not exist anywhere in the digital tools he used. Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook were excellent at managing days and weeks. But no one had built a clean, connected view of the entire year.
So he built one.

2016
Conceived on a serviette
While planning the family year in a cafe, Evan sketches the idea for a year-view calendar tool. The insight is simple: seeing the whole year at once changes how you plan.
2017–2019
A prototype launched as a personal project
Year Glance launches as a personal productivity tool. Early adopters find it through search, drawn by the one thing no other calendar app offers: a clean, integrated year view.
2020–2023
A real app grows organically across 139 countries
Without advertising, Year Glance reaches users across the world. Individuals, families, educators, event managers and business owners all find their own way to use it. The use cases multiply far beyond what was originally imagined.
2024–2025
Rebuilt and relaunched with a focus on business
Recognising that Year Glance's greatest impact is in organisations, the platform is rebuilt from the ground up. Faster, more reliable, with stronger integrations and new features built specifically for businesses and organisations of all sizes and industries.

A planning platform for individuals and organisations
Year Glance is now used by individuals, small businesses, schools, non-profits, companies and enterprise teams. The mission has not changed: give people a clear, connected view of their entire year so they can plan with confidence.
