Year Glance V2 is live! Our biggest launch yet was more than a product update. It was a celebration of planning better, working smarter, and dreaming bigger. Here's what happened at the global launch party and why it's just the beginning.
Launch day magic – where planning meets possibility
On 30 April 2025, a global community of planners, professionals, and productivity lovers came together to celebrate the release of Year Glance V2. Whether tuning in online or attending live in Melbourne, guests experienced a 45-minute launch party filled with connection, laughter, and genuine excitement.
“This wasn’t just a software drop,” said host Fran. “It felt like a movement coming to life.”
With nearly 1,000 live viewers across platforms, the stream buzzed with comments, poll results, and giveaways. Prizes included annual subscriptions, exclusive merch, and a shoutout for the best “5-word scary goal for 2025.” Shout-out to prize winner Andrew for "Starting 2 businesses in 2025"!
Custom merch included minimalist t-shirts, branded notebooks and pens and sleek desk mats.
From serviette to studio
Year Glance founder, Evan, shared the humble beginnings of Year Glance—from a cafe serviette sketch in 2016, a prototype in 2017, Version 1 in 2020.
I imagined a tool that makes planning feel intentional, empowering, and refreshingly simple.”
After a first launch in 2020, the team went back to the drawing board to rebuild it from the ground up. What emerged? A cleaner, faster, more flexible tool that helps individuals and teams plan smarter.

Snap! Camera dropOne of the most talked-about moments? The reveal of Snap by YG – a prototype tool that turns printed notices and flyers into digital calendar entries with one scan. Still in development, but already creating buzz, users got a glimpse of the future: take a photo of a flyer or newsletter, and all the events auto-convert into Google Calendar entries.
